A Valentine's Day Sentiment That Spanned Time
This is a Valentine's Day card from Molly Swain (then Molly Myrus) to her mother Marjorie Steere Myrus, dating all the way back to 1945 - this year will be the card's 78th anniversary. By itself, this little store-bought card wouldn't be anything special - what makes it special is that it meant so much to her mother that it ended up in the box of papers that Molly donated to the Historical Society 70 years later.
Gestures like this card can seem small and ephemeral, but the love that they communicate is anything but.
